I totally agree with you. Acupuncture points in the neck can be extremely usefull in depression.
Usually I use GV16, one of sun simiao acupoints.

same presentation with out neck pain but presenting with depression and lack of energy same protocol same result
the lack of O2 causes the depression instead of pain – check depressives for neck injury

Thanks for your blog. I had my first acupuncture session this afternoon, and haven’t stopped crying since. I have emotional trauma, but this is not the reason for which I had the acupuncture session. I am scared to go back. I need help for my hormonal problems, but I don’t know if I can cope with this emotional reaction. I don’t have the resources I need and I don’t know how to make more of the right kind of resources available to me to help me deal with this. The TCM Dr that I saw has a good reputation for helping women with hormonal problems, but he wasn’t very warm or empathetic at all and I felt uncomfortable dealing with him. I’m not sure what to do… Especially being so emotional now, I can’t think clearly… I am 24 with several chronic health problems.
