acupuncture and phytotherapy

Facebook is rich in various groups and beliefs. In most cases facebook essentially serves to waste time. Some people use it as a platform for advertising their services or blog articles (like me).Since I am acupuncturist I end up having vast groups connected with me with all sorts of beliefs.

Once I received a text ad on “quantum acceleration.” This text was talking about the Central Sun of our galaxy (is a black hole… well, technical details). Most recently I received a message on “Esoteric Acupuncture.” The text said something like:

“With the inevitable changes and the cyclical passage of pisces age to the age of Aquarius, we are led to an internal change that does not always happen as smoothly.

Which leads us to question our internally true purpose of life.  And the mission we have with those around us or in our family life, loving, social, or professional.

Increasingly urgent feeling of dissatisfaction and seeking re-connect with what was gradually being abandoned and forgotten over time… our spiritual side.

Esoteric Acupuncture as as challenge to provide a smoother change “in the crisis of conscience” and also reveals itself as an excellent and effective tool for harmonization and development of different stages in which the person is. “

I love this text and I’m not being sarcastic. The reasons why I love this text are simple: it is easier to separate the Chinese medicine acupuncture from acupuncture based on our new age beliefs.

I’ve written a lot about the mutilation of Chinese Medical Terminology and how this cancer called New Age has prevented a full understanding of the concepts of Chinese medicine in the West. We talk about “energy syndromes,” in “regulating the patient energies” in the “positive and negative energies of the body”, etc … without realizing that these concepts have nothing to do with Chinese medicine.

But we now know that there is “Esoteric Acupuncture” that helps us make a smooth transition from fish to aquarium with no “crisis of conscience” (nothing like astrology to give credibility to something like this!). Without forgetting that helps us re-connect with our spiritual side.

Curiously re-linking (on this case re-connect) is one of the origins of the word religion meaning an attempt by mankind to re-connect to its origins, its past, its creator … in this case to your spiritual side – that side earlier forgotten in this material world.

Again we still want to turn acupuncture in religion. Our crisis of cultural and religious identity leads us to find new ways of deceiving oneself against a world that we do not understand or in which we do not fit.

But this time I support it… since people call that “Esoteric Acupuncture” and not confused with acupuncture of traditional Chinese medicine or new fields of credible research on acupuncture. Even frauds deserve to be duly nominated.
